Document Verification

1. The candidates who qualify in the final examination are called for document verification.  The Roll Nos. of such candidates are notified in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar and some other national and regional newspapers. These are also hosted in the website of RRB, Bhubaneswar.

2. A candidate coming for document verification is normally required to report at RRB/Bhubaneswar at 9:00 AM and he is released by 19:00 hours on the same day. During verification, all the original certificates of the candidate is scrutinized.  Further, his/her handwritings and finger prints as available in the original application form is compared with those taken from the candidate during the examination/s as well as those taken during certificate verification.  This is to confirm the genuineness of the candidates. 

In case every thing is found to be OK, the candidate may be empanelled.  However, in case of any discrepancy in the certificates, the candidates are advised to bring the proper certificates/affidavits as necessary at the earliest within one week of the document verification.  They may also send the originals of the same by Speed Post/Registered Post addressed to Assistant Secretary, Railway Recruitment Board, Bhubaneswar – 751023, alongwith an application indicating their Name, Roll No., Category No., Name of the Post and Date of Certificate Verification.  After scrutiny, the original certificates are sent back t the candidates by Registered Post.

3. Whenever  a candidate is empanelled, the panel is sent to the Chief Personnel Officer, East Coast Railway, Rail Vihar, East Coast Railway Headquarters Campus, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar – 751023. Simultaneously, a confirmation letter is also sent to the candidate by Registered Post intimating about his/her empanelment.  Accordingly, after receipt of the confirmation letter, the candidate should not make any further correspondence with RRB/Bhubaneswar.  If required, the candidate should correspond with the office of Chief Personnel Officer at the address indicated above.

4. As per the guidelines given by Railway Recruitment Control Board, candidates equal to 30% over and above the number of vacancies of each community are being called for certificate verification as stand by provided adequate suitable candidates are available in the merit list.  The Roll Nos. of these standby candidates are displayed in the results in ascending order of Roll Nos.   In case any candidate from the main list do not turn up for certificate verification/medically unfit/do not join , the candidates from the standby list are empanelled strictly in order of merit.
