Railway recruitment boards in India


Railway Recruitment Board entrance exam are those which have carried on an All India basis by Railway Recruitment Boards. RRB is an administration whose important objective is to recruit and make accessible the right kind of manpower at the right time to the distinct units of the Railways as per their necessaries. In all, there are 19 (nineteen) RRB’s, which provides the individual zonal staffing requirements. RRB’s recruit Group-C personnel for different Zonal Railways /output Units.
Based on the indentations obtained, Employment Notifications are released in Employment News (A publication of the Government of India) and also reveals ads in other News Papers. RRB functions under total supervising of the Railway Recruitment Control Board. Railway Board (Ministry of Railways), New Delhi. The RRCB develops policy guidelines and also appraises / monitors the working of RRB’s.
Mainly the recruitment in Railways is done in 4 groups; they are Group-A, Group-B, Group-c and Group-D. For Group-A which is mainly for office cadre the recruitment is organized by UPSC, SCRA, IRST etc.
RRB’s recruits only Group-C and Group-D type of section in railways.
