HOW TO APPEAR
In the event of fulfilling the conditions of eligibility led down for the post, you will be issued a call letter well in advance of the day of examination.
The call letter will also have a set of
guidelines (enclosed) on to how to answer a question paper of multiple
choice objective type. You must read these instructions carefully so
that you have a good idea of the nature of the written examination
before you actually appear for it.
If you do not receive your call letter within a
reasonable time before the date of examination, you can obtain a
duplicate one only from RRB premises on specified dates which
shall be notified in the Employment News. Remember, you shall be given a
duplicate call letter only if you are eligible in all respects and had
originally been sent a call letter which did not reach you or contained
errors.
You should examine the call letter to ensure all
details pertaining to your candidature, identity, address etc. have been
correctly depicted. If any modifications are required, a duplicate call
letter will be issued as stated above.
Please ensure that you preserve your call letter
carefully, and bring it along with you for appearing in the examination.
Remember, unless you have the original call letter with you, you will
not be admitted to the examination premises.
Please ensure that you arrive at the examination
venue well in time. Read the name of the venue and its full address
carefully, and report only to that venue. RRB may select venues for the
examination which have similar sounding names and located close to each
other.

Remember that RRB will not entertain applicants who come late beyond the stipulated time.
The answer sheet is a thicker sheet to which a
thinner carbonless copy is firmly attached. Do not remove or tamper with
the carbonless copy or make any separate entries in it.
The answer script known as OMR (Optical Mark
Reader) sheet will generally be found inside the question paper booklet.
However, it could also be supplied separately. On receipt of the
question papers and OMR sheets, ensure the following:
a) Open the seal(s) only as directed in the question paper booklet.
b) Read all the instructions on the face of the question paper booklet and its reverse very carefully. Similarly, read the instructions given on the face of the OMR sheets or its reverse carefully. Ensure full compliance of these instructions.

The question paper booklet and OMR answer sheet
will require you to make entries with regard to your candidature. Some
of these data must be entered in format readable by a computer scanner.
Make sure that such entries are made very carefully. Any mistake may
render your answer sheet invalid for evaluation.
Above all , ensure that the selected answers are
not marked in any way in the question paper. Remember any kind of mark
including tick marks, circles, dots etc. against the answers may render
your candidature liable for rejection.
Select your answer to each question carefully and
then darken the appropriate circle against each question number.
Remember, once you have darkened an answer circle it is final and no
change of answer is possible.
At present all RRB examinations require a passage
to be written in one's own running handwriting in the question paper
booklet or OMR answer sheet. Such passage is given in the question paper
booklet with clear instructions that reproduction of the same in one's
own hand writing is compulsory. Make sure you do so in the space
provided. Failure to do so will render your candidature liable for
rejection.
At the end of the examination do not leave the
hall without handing over the question paper booklet issued to you and
the OMR sheet along with its carbonless copy undisturbed. Remember, if
you do not return these documents intact to the invigilators at the end
of the examination, your candidature will be rejected and you may also
become liable for further punitive action as may be deemed fit by the
RRB.
